Move the moisture away from surface. FrameVent® gets it done.
Moisture is always an issue in exterior spaces and exterior building envelopes from the roof to the deck. The challenge continues to be determining the best method to mediate this problem. Historically the approach is to wrap and cover surfaces we intend to protect or that are the most vulnerable. The covering includes a broad spectrum of materials from EPDM, bitmum based, butyl to asphalt papers and other papers. What these all have in common is that they act as a barrier trying to keep the inevitable moisture out or away from the protected area.
MOVE AIR MOVE MOISTURE
Our new FrameVent® product takes a different approach to the solution. In addition to temperature–sun–the singular enemy to moisture is air movement. Where moisture exist, it cannot remain where air flow picks up the molecules of moisture and caries them away. FrameVent® accomplishes this by its patent-pending structural design that incorporates strong fingers that separate the surface finish material from the framing or sheeting which intern allows airflow between the two materials.
For decking over framing, this is a significant upgrade from the usual tape method by creating protection for both the framing but now also for the decking boards. Water collects under the decking as screws loosen over time. This creates mold, mildew and can break down the decking from the bottom over time. FrameVent® eliminates this issue. And what’s even better, the installation process is faster and stays in place with the included butyl adhesive layer. It’s an all in one solution.
